About MCS
All of my lessons are supplemented with self-guided Boom Decks, online games, and incorporate activities that kids love like coloring, drawing, puzzles, and even role-play.
Kids learn best through play. MCS curriculum incorporates learning-based
games, Boom Decks to reinforce learning between lessons, role-play, song, art, and movement!"
When class size becomes too large, students lose the
opportunity to practice speaking. With a maximum class size of 4 students, students will have plenty of opportunities to practice their Spanish skills!
All of the classes follow a rigorous lesson plan and use a custom, age-appropriate workbook created by a curriculum development specialist and experienced Spanish teacher.

Spanish for Little Learners (PreK-K)
Spanish for Little Learners is a course designed specifically for very young students (pre-K-Kindergarten) just starting out in Spanish. We will use the "My First Spanish Workbook" curriculum, sing songs, color, and play games! A great way to get young ones ready for a lifetime of language!
Spanish Basics - Level I (K-5th)
Appropriate for beginners or kids with little to no Spanish language experience or for kids looking to review the basics. We’ll cover up to 10 lessons of “Spanish Basics” (Level I) and complete several interactive activities and verbal exercises! Most students that take "after school" Spanish will need at least two years at Level I.
Spanish Basics - Level II (2nd-5th)
Appropriate for kids who have had at least one or two years of "Spanish Basics, Level I," or those students who have a good foundation of the basics, (numbers to 20, calendar, weather, parts of the body, etc.). We'll start with a review of the basics and then jump right in to additional lessons that take your child's Spanish skills to the next level. Students in grades 3 or higher should expect to take online quizzes between lessons and be prepared for some light homework.
Spanish Basics - Level III (3rd-5th)
Level III classes follow a dynamic lesson schedule based on group ability and need. Level III students have had several years of after school Spanish or previous immersion. Written and verbal exercises are designed for students with academic skills at grades 3 or higher and are not appropriate for younger students, even if these students are advanced Spanish speakers. Students should expect for some light homework between lessons.

Student Review
I just wanted to let you know that thanks to your fantastic teaching, I tested into Spanish 3! Only one class away from college level. Thank you so much!
Spanish for Travelers is a course designed for teens through adults who intend on traveling to a Spanish-speaking country and would like to learn how to make their travel more rewarding and less stressful! These students will learn basic vocabulary and phrases essential for travel in any of the 21 Spanish-speaking countries of the world. Students interested in this class are not yet proficient in Spanish, are not necessarily looking to learn Spanish fluently, but instead are simply interested in learning how to communicate effectively during travel. We will use a workbook designed specifically for this purpose, engage in role-play, and use videos to increase comprehension and improve pronunciation. Don't forget your passport!
Thank you! Your lessons are wonderful. After the school distance learning experience this Spring, I was really on the fence about Spanish. My son hated distance learning and this class really helped change his attitude. And both kids love the class. Thank you!!!
