Course Syllabus, Spanish for Travelers
With 20 Spanish-speaking countries around the world, and Puerto Rico, you have many choices! (Check out some interesting facts about a few of these countries in the videos below!) Wherever your destination, learning essential Spanish vocabulary and phrases will make your trip more enjoyable and rewarding. This course is designed for teens or adults interested in travel to a Spanish-speaking country, with the primary objective of making the journey less challenging and more fun. While some previous Spanish exposure is very helpful, it is not necessary. There will be no grammar lessons, only useful vocabulary and phrases, and related written and verbal exercises and activities centered around travel and logistics.
Course Objectives:
By the end of the course students will have a basic understanding of the following:

Methods of Instruction:
Throughout this course, students will use a proprietary "Spanish for Travelers" workbook. Course content will be delivered through verbal introduction and review, drills, role-playing, games, learning-based videos, and written exercises.
Absences & Refunds:
There will be no refunds for missed classes. For private lessons, if you should need to cancel and can provide at least a 24 hour notice, we can reschedule this lesson for a mutually agreed upon date and time. For semi-private lessons, rescheduling will only be possible if agreed to ahead of time by the entire class. If I should need to cancel a class due to illness or another unforeseen emergency, I will schedule a make-up class as soon as possible or provide a refund for the missed lesson if rescheduling is not possible.
