- Lesson Vocabulary - Each lesson will include a list of new vocabulary words with English translations that you can reference while completing written or verbal exercises.
- Verbal Exercises - Look out for the speech icons! These verbal exercises will allow you to apply what you have learned through oral exercises that you’ll complete with a friend, with your teacher, or with the class.
- Review & Practice - Each lesson will include a series of written exercises that allow you to apply what you have learned in the lesson. There will be crossword puzzles, word searches, multiple choice, and other fun exercises. Don’t forget to look back in the lesson if you are unsure of the correct answer.
- Lesson Summary - At the end of each lesson, you’ll find a summary of what you should have learned. If learning objectives are not yet achieved, be sure to go back and review the lesson and watch the YouTube videos again!
- YouTube Video Recommendations - Embedded in each lesson are YouTube video recommendations that cover the lesson content. These videos will allow you to listen to the new vocabulary, and help to improve your comprehension and pronunciation of new Spanish vocabulary and phrases. If you are using this workbook digitally, you can simply click on the YouTube thumbnails. If you are using this workbook in hard copy, simply type in the video title on YouTube and don’t forget to include “Mi Camino Spanish” in your search!
- Alebrijes - Just for fun, and as a reward for your hard work, you’ll find “alebrijes” throughout the workbook to color. Widely popular Mexican alebrijes are whimsical carvings most often depicting fantastical animals with brightly colored, intricate designs. Alebrijes are typically made out of paper mâché, or carved out of wood, and are a modern cultural symbol of Mexico.
